A man from Sector 2 of the Capital was detained by police for the intentional injury of a cat, which was thrown from a higher floor. The incident was reported on December 7, 2025, and the Animal Protection Service police intervened, identifying the aggressor. The cat, severely injured, was taken to a veterinary clinic, where doctors found that it was suffering from traumatic shock, hypothermia, and hemorrhagic injuries.
The man was detained for 24 hours, and the court decided to place him under judicial control for 60 days. The police remind citizens not to tolerate animal abuse and to report any form of violence by calling the emergency number 112. Investigations continue under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sector 2 Court.
