A policeman in Caras-Severin was roughed up by villagers while stopping a drunk young man on an ATV. The incident was caught on video.

The incident took place on July 19, when a police officer stopped a young man driving an ATV under the influence of alcohol, with a result of 0.46 mg/l on an alcohol test. After the police officer was surrounded and roughed up by the villagers, at which point he drew his weapon, but without pointing it at anyone. Images of the incident were published on social networks, and the IPJ Caraș-Severin announced that the people involved will be investigated for assault.
