Four people are accused of assaulting and humiliating an 11-year-old child in a park in Șeitin, Arad County

Four people, including three teenagers and a 21-year-old man, have been charged after an 11-year-old child was assaulted and humiliated in a park in the commune of Șeitin, Arad County. All four defendants were placed under judicial supervision for 60 days and must wear electronic monitoring devices.

The incident took place on October 9, 2026, at around 10:00 p.m., in the central park of the locality. According to prosecutors, a 17-year-old allegedly followed the child, caught him and restrained him on the ground. Two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17, allegedly removed his trousers and underwear, exposing his private parts.

A 21-year-old man allegedly filmed the scene with his mobile phone and then posted the footage on Facebook and Instagram on October 22. He is being investigated both for aiding and abetting unlawful deprivation of liberty and for violating privacy.

On October 24, the case prosecutor ordered judicial supervision for all four. They are prohibited from approaching or communicating with the victim. The investigation is ongoing, and the charges do not constitute a conviction. The defendants are presumed innocent until a final court ruling is issued.
