Two police officers from Mehedinți were apprehended after discovering and dismantling interception devices from the vehicle they were using. They filmed the moment and posted it online, claiming that the car was about to catch fire. Investigators found that the officers were already under the observation of the Anti-Corruption General Directorate and that they were aware of the planned interception.

One of them left a phone in the car to record the activities of the anti-corruption officers. Now, the two are accused of destroying evidence and disclosing confidential information. Both consider themselves innocent and have been placed under judicial control for 60 days.
