The Extraordinary Congress of the PNL, scheduled for July 12, will gather 1200 delegates at the Parliament Palace to elect the new leadership. Ilie Bolojan is the sole candidate for president, while ten notable candidates have registered for the first vice-presidents. Also up for election will be the leadership of the Court of Arbitration and the National Revision and Censorship Commission. Voting will be by secret ballot for the top positions, and the validation of regional vice-presidents will be open. The Congress is seen as an important step to strengthen the NLP in the face of future political challenges.
