The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, stated that the reforms assumed by Romania through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), including the public salary law, will be implemented. He emphasized that there are no scenarios in which the 14 essential reforms, valued at over 11.8 billion euros, will not be delivered.

Pîslaru explained that a moratorium has been established, and all pro-European parties are committed to supporting the completion of the PNRR, considering it an "anchor" in the context of political instability. He criticized the PSD's decision to leave the government, emphasizing that it has created an unwanted political crisis at difficult times for Romania. Pîslaru expressed regret that the political interest of one party has been prioritized to the detriment of the national interest, especially during the period in which Romania must finalize the reforms from the PNRR by August 31.
