OX2 Romania, part of the Swedish group OX2, has announced the acquisition of three wind projects with a total capacity of 235 MW, located in the counties of Vaslui and Vrancea, from the company Future Power. This transaction increases OX2's local portfolio to over 1.1 GW and strengthens the company's position in the Romanian market, where it is constructing one third of the total capacity of 600 MW of wind projects under development. The projects will be operational between 2028 and 2030, depending on authorizations. Lăcrămioara Diaconu-Pinbea, Vice President of OX2 Romania, emphasized the company's development strategy, which includes managing the entire life cycle of the projects. Cristian Barbu, CEO of Future Power, highlighted the importance of these projects for the renewable energy ecosystem in Romania. OX2 is also developing other wind and photovoltaic projects in Romania, having a diversified portfolio of 33 GW across Europe.
