Econergy will build a 35 MW wind farm in Tulcea after ANRE approved ECO WIND SĂLBATICA's application

ANRE approved, at the latest meeting of the Regulatory Committee, the application submitted by ECO WIND SĂLBATICA S.R.L. for the issuance of an establishment authorization for the CEE Agighiol – Valea Nucarilor wind power plant. The project, with a capacity of 35 MW, is set to be built in Valea Nucarilor, Tulcea County.

The company is controlled by Israel’s Econergy group, one of the most active investors in Romania’s renewable energy sector. The establishment authorization requires, among other things, proof of construction financing, indicating that the project has prospects of being completed and subsequently entering the energy market.

CEE Agighiol – Valea Nucarilor is the first wind project announced by Econergy in Romania. Until now, the group has focused on photovoltaic parks and storage systems.

About a month ago, the company signed financing agreements worth approximately €229 million for the Părău 2 project in Brașov County. It will include a 342 MWp photovoltaic plant and 150 MW of storage batteries, with commissioning estimated for the end of 2027 or the beginning of 2028.

Econergy recently also announced the grid connection of the 59 MW Iancu Jianu photovoltaic project in Olt County. The company has 743 MW of connected or connection-ready capacity in Romania, as well as another 861 MW under construction.
