Veterinary sanitary inspectors in Buzău withdrew 50 kg of food products, including minced chicken suspected of Salmonella, following inspections.

The veterinary sanitary inspectors from Buzău County conducted extensive checks in February, withdrawing over 50 kilograms of non-compliant food products from the market. Among these are minced chicken meat suspected of contamination with Salmonella and frozen cod fillets that do not meet composition requirements.

The action targeted over 360 economic operators in the food sector, and inspectors identified deficiencies in hygiene, storage, labeling, and temperature monitoring. Fines totaling 54,800 lei and 31 warnings were issued. Additionally, approximately 190 samples were taken for laboratory analysis. DSVSA Buzău will intensify inspections before the Easter holidays to prevent risks to consumer health.
