Following a search carried out in a forested area of Dalnic commune, police from Covasna and DIICOT prosecutors discovered over 130 cannabis plants, with a total weight of approximately 17 kilograms. A 51-year-old man is being investigated for drug trafficking and is in preventive custody.

According to the investigation, he allegedly initiated an outdoor cannabis cultivation in 2026, growing the plants in a birch forest near his cabin. The search led to the seizure of the plants, various containers, and other means of evidence. The man was detained on August 4, and subsequently placed in preventive custody for 30 days. The operation was supported by local police and gendarmerie.
