Former Prime Minister Ludovic Orban launched a harsh attack against President Nicușor Dan and the designated Prime Minister Eugen Tomac, stating that the new Executive has almost zero chances of obtaining the vote of confidence in Parliament. Invited to 'Adevărul Interviews', Orban accused Tomac of accepting the role of 'surrogate candidate' in a political game orchestrated by PSD, emphasizing that his nomination was made without a clear parliamentary majority.

Orban mentioned that support for Tomac is limited, and the votes from PSD, UDMR, and minorities are not enough to meet the necessary threshold. He highlighted the difficulties in obtaining votes from unlikely parties, suggesting that UDMR prefers a political government. Orban concluded that the current political situation makes it impossible to form a stable government around Tomac.
