From December 2-5, 2025, the courses will be held online in 13 locations in Prahova due to the interruption of the drinking water supply.

Due to problems arising at the power supply sources, the supply of drinking water has been interrupted in 13 localities in Prahova County, including Câmpina, Breaza, and Băicoi. The Prahova County School Inspectorate announced that, from December 2 to 5, 2025, educational institutions in these localities will conduct online classes. Over 107,000 people in Prahova and Dâmbovița are affected by the lack of drinking water due to the high turbidity of the water from the Paltinu dam.

The National Committee for Emergency Situations has adopted urgent measures, including the distribution of drinking water from state reserves. This evening, 50,000 liters of bottled water will be delivered, followed by another 150,000 liters the next day, with coordination being carried out by prefects and local authorities.
