OMV Petrom will implement a photovoltaic park with an installed capacity of approximately 7 MW at the Petrobrazi refinery, intended to provide renewable electricity for internal consumption. Franck Neel, a member of the OMV Petrom Management Board, emphasized that this project supports the company's operational efficiency and environmental objectives. The park will occupy 110,000 square meters and will include the purchase of equipment, construction works, and integration into the existing electrical infrastructure. The total budget for the project is up to 45.4 million lei, of which 8.4 million lei are non-repayable European funds. Construction works will begin soon and are expected to be completed this year. This investment joins other sustainable development projects, including a sustainable fuels unit that will produce hydrogen.
