On the occasion of Independence Day of the United States, interim Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu sent a message on her Facebook page, emphasizing that freedom is not a given, but a right that is earned and defended daily.

She recalled the courage of those who, 250 years ago, declared that freedom and dignity are fundamental rights. Gheorghiu congratulated Ambassador Daryl Nirenberg and wished "Happy Birthday" to the USA and the American people, highlighting the importance of the bilateral relationship and the strategic partnership between Romania and the United States.

Her message reiterates the belief that free people can together decide their future, encouraging responsibility and collaboration.
