Oana Gheorghiu, Deputy Prime Minister for the reform of state-owned companies, accused the Social Democratic Party (PSD) of deliberately blocking the necessary reforms to maintain its political control and privileges. In a message published six months into her term, Gheorghiu highlighted the hostility and lack of cooperation from the PSD in her efforts to streamline state-owned companies.
She mentioned that she has launched a pilot project to diagnose 22 companies, but has encountered blockages and delays. Gheorghiu criticized the PSD's reaction to proposals to limit minority packages and emphasized the financial differences between listed and unlisted companies, which have generated significant losses. The Deputy Prime Minister accused the PSD of hypocrisy, stating that its struggle is not against reforms, but for maintaining control over state-owned companies.
