The British publication Autocar has announced the shortlist of seven nominations for the 2026 Car of the Year title, which includes the Citroën C5 Aircross, Dacia Bigster, Fiat Grande Panda, Kia EV4, Mercedes-Benz CLA, Renault 4, and Skoda Elroq. These cars were selected by 59 jurors from 23 countries, each choosing seven from a long list of 35 models. The winner will be announced on January 9, at the Brussels Motor Show, after a final testing and an additional round of voting. Among the notable models that did not make the shortlist are the Nissan Leaf and Toyota C-HR+.
