Dacia Hipster could reach showrooms in 2027, with an estimated starting price of £9,500, equivalent to just over €11,000, according to British outlet Autocar, as cited by Promotor. The model was previously presented as a concept and is expected to be positioned below the Dacia Spring.
Hipster was conceived as a compact electric model covered by the regulations for L7e-category quadricycles. This category includes models such as the Allview 4City and Fiat Multipla, a larger version of the Fiat Topolino.
According to information published by Autocar, Denis Le Vot, Dacia’s former CEO, initially conceived the model as a natural successor to the Spring. Its launch was planned for late 2026, and the estimated price was approximately €13,000.
However, Renault’s plans changed at the end of 2024. Luca de Meo, who was then CEO of the Renault Group, decided that the next-generation Dacia Spring would be developed on the basis of the future Renault Twingo and produced in Slovenia. In this context, Hipster could become a distinct, more affordable and more compact model.
