Nicușor Dan, recently elected President of Romania, emphasized during the CGMB meeting that the main problem of Bucharest is financing, saying that 2025 will be a lost year for the City Hall, which will have difficulties in paying its current obligations. He expressed confidence in the urban planning team and emphasized the importance of continued investment in district heating. Deputy Mayor Stelian Bujduveanu has been appointed as his replacement and will take office on May 26.
