President Nicușor Dan received former Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta to discuss the implementation of the recommendations of his report regarding the European Single Market in Romania.

President Nicușor Dan had a meeting on Monday at the Cotroceni Palace with Enrico Letta, former Prime Minister of Italy and author of the report 'Much More than a Market', dedicated to the future of the European Single Market. During the discussion, Dan emphasized the importance of applying the recommendations of the report in Romania and the strategic alignment with the development of the Single Market. He highlighted the challenges the country faces, such as regional disparities and infrastructure issues, which affect the business environment. Additionally, opportunities for development in the fields of finance, telecommunications, and energy were addressed, as well as the need to have more 'European champions' to compete with the USA and China, thus ensuring well-paid jobs in the industries of the future.
