President Nicușor Dan stated that Europe risks losing economic competition with the United States and China if it does not improve its competitiveness. During the summit "Dialogue for Development - Summit 2025", he emphasized the need for the courage to revise economic, social, and environmental policies, as well as the importance of investments in energy.

Dan highlighted that the private sector and the state need to collaborate more effectively, inviting the private sector to propose concrete solutions for economic issues. He also discussed the trade deficit and the need to stimulate exports, emphasizing that Romania must invest in defense, considering the current security context. The president encouraged the business environment to contribute with policies and proposals to support Romania's economic development.
