President Nicușor Dan commented on Thursday, in a press conference in Brussels, on the situation of the general mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, who has been placed under judicial control by the DNA. Nicușor Dan emphasized that the available information indicates that the accusations do not relate to Ciucu's activity in his current term as mayor. When asked if Ciucu should take a step back, Dan replied that, considering that the legal issues do not affect his activity at the Capital City Hall, it is normal for him to continue to exercise his function. Ciprian Ciucu is indicted for bribery in connection with the period when he was the mayor of Sector 6. Additional details can be viewed in the video of the conference, available at minute 16.
