The new 15.96-kilometer Bârzava - Vărădia rail route initially allows trains to run at 120 km/h, rising to 160 km/h. Works included the construction of the 603m Bata tunnel and two bridges over the Mures river. On the route, 25 works of art and 7 civil constructions were carried out and Vărădia station was modernized. Traffic on track I will be reopened in two months after the works are completed.
