A TAROM aircraft with 102 passengers on board and six crew members was targeted by a bomb threat on Friday. It was flight RO226 Prague–Bucharest, reports News.ro, Digi24, and Boarding Pass.
The aircraft landed safely at Henri Coanda Airport (Otopeni) in Bucharest.
Procedural measures are currently being implemented at the airport, in cooperation with state institutions, the Bucharest Airports National Company (CNAB) reports.
Air traffic is proceeding safely, without problems, according to the flight plan.
The SRI stated that the threat was nonspecific, and no measures would be taken on the ground. The institution had previously stated that a threat is not evaluated solely by its own specialists.
Usually, the threat is received by the airline, the airline informs the pilots, they communicate with the control tower, and several entities assess the situation based on clear indicators. If it is considered to be a fake email, no measures are taken.
It is the third flight bound for Bucharest targeted by a bomb alert in two days.
