Mircea Lucescu is in critical condition at the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit, according to statements from the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete. He specified that his condition has significantly deteriorated in the last 24-48 hours, and Lucescu is being cared for in intensive therapy.
The technical director of FRF, Mihai Stoichiță, visited the former coach and confirmed that Lucescu is in an induced coma, being connected to machines and unable to communicate. Stoichiță mentioned that he stayed a few minutes next to Lucescu but could not talk to him or the doctors.
His condition worsened on Sunday night when the arrhythmias became severe and he no longer responded to treatment.
