The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, stated that, in the event that the current government formula does not have the necessary support in Parliament, the solution must be democratic and constitutional. He emphasized the importance of resuming consultations to identify a viable majority, avoiding the imposition of predetermined scenarios.

Abrudean criticized the PSD for its lack of credibility, stating that it is unacceptable to provoke a political crisis and then claim that the responsibility for resolving it lies with others. Additionally, the designated Prime Minister, Eugen Tomac, stated that he is determined to request a vote of confidence from Parliament, and will present the conclusions of discussions with political parties to the president. Abrudean stressed that Romania needs a majority to support the government program and to take responsibility for the decisions made.
