In an interview broadcast on Digi24, Mirabela Grădinaru, the First Lady of Romania, reminisced about the moment she met President Nicușor Dan. Although she had a train ticket to return home to Vaslui, a friend convinced her to go to a club in Bucharest, where she met Nicușor Dan. She was impressed by his demeanor, his warm gaze, and the attention he gave to those around him, even in a crowded and smoky environment. Mirabela also mentioned Nicușor's physical appearance, especially his curly hair. After their first meeting, when she brought him home to her parents, her father appreciated his character, concluding that "he is a good boy," which was enough for Mirabela.
