President Nicușor Dan said that the images showing him kissing his partner, Mirabela Grădinaru, before departing for New York, were published without his consent. The footage was included in a video posted on the official TikTok account of the head of state.

Asked by an Antena 3 CNN reporter about the images, Nicușor Dan said he had seen them but had not given his consent for their publication. The president added that he would discuss the matter with members of his team and his own advisers.

The moment was filmed at the airport, before boarding for the trip to the United States. The video featured both the personal moment between the two and footage from the president’s official schedule in New York, in the context of events associated with the UN General Assembly.
