Dragoș Pîslaru, the Minister of European Investments and Projects, has announced the launch of a review of purchases of electric school minibuses, after reports of overpricing. Romania has earmarked €250 million from the PNRR for 3,200 minibuses, but has bought only 1,300 at an average price of €200,000 each. Pîslaru stressed that European funds must be used correctly and that irregularities will be sanctioned, including by referral to the European Public Prosecutor's Office.
