Roberta Metsola calls for stability in Brussels, in discussions with Sorin Grindeanu

Roberta Metsola, the President of the European Parliament, emphasized the importance of establishing stability and unity during the meeting with Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the PSD, in Brussels. Grindeanu presented his party's plan to organize an internal referendum regarding governance, criticizing the Executive led by Ilie Bolojan for delaying measures to combat the rising fuel prices.

He warned that the lack of swift actions could favor extremists. In response, PNL MEP Siegfried Mureșan emphasized that Grindeanu should have spoken on behalf of the parliamentary majority, not just the PSD, and mentioned the attempt at collaboration between the PSD and AUR as a negative signal for European leaders. Grindeanu is in Brussels to discuss with the European socialists ahead of the internal consultation in the party scheduled for April 20.
