Metrorex has announced the completion of the first tunnel segment between Tokyo and Băneasa Airport stations, using the TBM 'Sfânta Maria'.

Metrorex has confirmed that the 'Sfânta Maria' boring shield has excavated the first tunnel segment on Line 2, between Tokyo and Aeroport Băneasa stations, with a length of 902.04 meters. The project is part of Metro Line 6, and work continues according to plan. The TBM 'Sfânta Ana' is working on Line 1, having already excavated 406 meters. The project will include 6 stations and interchanges for a total length of 6.6 km.
