The Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, stated that Bucharest is facing a generalized disorder, observed during a visit to the central area. On social media, he mentioned that, regardless of the direction you look, the problems are evident, from rusty streetlights without bulbs to illegal parking and degraded green spaces.

Ciucu emphasized that graffiti and illegal billboards contribute to the aesthetic deterioration of the city. He identified the lack of authority, the inaction of the local police, and the apathy of public officials as reasons for this situation. In an attempt to address the issues, the mayor announced a closer collaboration with the Mayor of Sector 1, George Cristian Tușcă, and proposed quick interventions and projects to reconfigure public spaces, such as Piața Lahovari.
