The tragic incident took place when the man from Teasc tried to throw his fishing rod into the water, causing an electric arc with the power cables above him. Despite resuscitation efforts by medical crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The police have opened a criminal file for manslaughter and are continuing investigations.
