Police officers in Târgu Mureș are investigating the death of a person found next to an electrical panel at a heating plant

A person was found dead inside a heating plant in Târgu Mureș after the municipal police were alerted through a 112 emergency call. The incident is under investigation, and initial checks indicate that the death may have been caused by electrocution.

Police officers who arrived at the scene discovered the body near an electrical fuse panel. The area was examined, and the body was transported to the Târgu Mureș Institute of Forensic Medicine.

Forensic doctors are to perform an autopsy to establish the exact cause of death. Until this procedure is completed, the electrocution theory remains preliminary.

Meanwhile, investigators are trying to identify the deceased person and clarify all the circumstances in which the tragedy occurred. A criminal case has been opened for negligent homicide, with the investigation being conducted under the supervision of prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Târgu Mureș District Court. The conclusions of the investigation will depend on the autopsy results and the evidence collected at the scene.
