Young man caught while sleeping in a car he was trying to steal

The police in Târgu Jiu were alerted by a woman who noticed a man trying to open the doors of cars on Nicolae Bălcescu street. A public order patrol intervened and identified a 29-year-old man who matched the description.

Upon the agents' arrival, the man was found asleep in one of the cars he had opened. The investigation revealed that he was wearing a monitoring bracelet, being under judicial control for theft from cars. Although traces of breaking and entering were found inside the car, no goods were stolen. The police opened a criminal case for attempted theft, and the man was detained for 24 hours.
