A man from Zărnești has been detained after he killed his father with a drill, smashing doors to get to him.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning when the man broke through several doors to find his father, who had barricaded himself in the bathroom. Once he reached him, he attacked him with a drill, causing fatal injuries, including to his head. Authorities detained the suspect for 24 hours and he was remanded in custody on a charge of murder in the context of domestic violence.
