The works on lot 1 of the Focșani – Bacău highway have reached 95% and completion is expected by the end of the year.

The general director of CNAIR, Cristian Pistol, announced that the works on lot 1 of the Focșani – Bacău highway (A7) are nearing completion, with a physical progress of 95% on the 35.6 kilometers of the Focșani - Domnești Târg lot. The contractor, UMB Spedition, has 1,600 workers and 500 machines, focusing on the works at the Tișița road junction and the bridges over the Putna and Carecna rivers.

If the work pace is maintained and weather conditions are favorable, the completion of the works is estimated for the end of this year. The value of the contract for this lot is 2.3 billion lei, financed through PNRR. Additionally, Pistol mentioned that this year traffic could begin on the highway from Bucharest to Adjud, with advanced stages on the Domnești Târg - Adjud section.
