The Bucharest District 1 Court rejected the prosecutors' requests for pretrial detention against four of the five people detained after they caused violence at the farmers' protest in Victory Square. The court ordered house arrest for the four, prohibiting them from using social media networks. The fifth detainee was placed in pretrial detention.
"Grants the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Tribunal for the pretrial detention of the defendant FUGEL GABRIEL, without a domicile in Romania, without an identity card, personal numerical code, in criminal case no. 5834/163/P/2026 (...) Orders the pretrial detention of the defendant for a period of 30 days, starting on 16.09.2026 and ending on 15.10.2026, inclusive. Orders the urgent issuance of the pretrial detention warrant and its communication in accordance with the legal provisions. Rejects as unfounded the defendant's request, through counsel, to impose a less severe preventive measure," the court's summary states.

2. VOINEA VIOREL-CRISTIAN, no military obligations, high-school education, occupation: security guard, known to have a criminal record
3. NANCU IONUŢ, Buzău, unmarried, no military obligations, middle-school education, unemployed, no criminal record
4. CIUCUR CIPRIAN, military service completed, secondary education, occupation: driver, no criminal record
submitted by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Tribunal, as unfounded. Orders the preventive measure of house arrest with respect to the defendants," the summary further states.
