A lawyer has been charged with assault after he punched a gendarme in the neck during the anti-government protest in Victory Square. Prosecutors have opened criminal proceedings and proposed his remand in custody. The protest resulted in four gendarmes being injured and the police intervened to maintain public order. Investigation activities were supported by local police, and two protesters were also taken for questioning.
