The authorities from the commune of Perișani alerted the Vâlcea County Emergency Situations Committee regarding the reactivation of a landslide in the village of Poiana, near the construction site of the Sibiu-Pitești highway. Mayor Sorin Leonte stated that a tourist complex located a few dozen meters from the landslide is in danger, and its owner has reported the situation. The landslide, which was problematic last year, has recently worsened due to the rains. The mayor proposed the construction of a retaining wall to stabilize the bank. The owner of the complex, Mihai Popescu, accuses the highway contractor of damaging the land and requests urgent intervention to prevent the expansion of the instability. There are also other households in the area, the closest being about 100 meters from the tourist complex.
