Residents of Bucharest pay for hot water and heating strictly based on actual consumption and the parameters at which the thermal agent is delivered, not at maximum level when services are not provided properly, announced the Bucharest Municipality on Facebook, in the context of people's concerns that they pay for heat as if they had it, despite the outages.
The thermal energy meters in the basements of the buildings accurately record the amount of energy delivered, and hot water at lower temperatures will be charged cheaper.
"We pay for hot water and heating only when they are delivered at normal parameters! Otherwise, the thermal agent is not charged at maximum level. Water, radiators are hot or cold – it is paid accordingly! This is possible
! In the basements of the buildings, there is a meter," representatives of the Bucharest Municipality stated.
Additionally, the PMB mentioned that the maintenance from the building's notice board includes other expenses, not just those for hot water and heating. Currently, 288 buildings have minor outages, and the thermal agent is delivered at lower parameters. The Municipal Company Termoenergetica confirmed that residents will only pay for the thermal energy actually consumed.
