According to APIA, new car registrations in Romania increased by 6% in August 2025, reaching 15,043 units. Electric cars had a remarkable performance, recording a growth of 93.1% compared to the previous year, with a market share of 6.3%. However, registrations for the first 8 months of 2025 decreased by 9% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 95,658 units.
