A machine rolled down the Transfăgărășan after the driver got out to take pictures and forgot to pull the handbrake.

On Transfăgărășan, a new incident occurred when a car rolled dozens of meters into the void, after the driver got out to take pictures, forgetting to pull the handbrake.

The vehicle began to move on its own, going off the road and descending the slope among rocks and boulders, being severely damaged. Fortunately, at the time of the incident, no one was inside the car. This is the second similar case this summer on the same route, after in June, another driver was left without a car following a photo session, also due to the vehicle not being secured.

Although both incidents could have had tragic consequences, no casualties were reported.
