Dumitru Chisăliță, the president of the Intelligent Energy Association (AEI), issued a severe warning regarding a new crisis in the fuel market in Romania, caused by state intervention through the price capping mechanism.

He argues that the Emergency Ordinance of the Ministry of Energy will distort consumer behavior and block distribution networks, generating major logistical dysfunctions throughout the country. Chisăliță emphasizes that reporting the commercial markup to last year's prices will create inequalities among operators, favoring some while leaving others without clients. A local fuel shortage is expected, with queues at gas stations and significant price differences. The expert warns that the migration of consumers to stations with lower prices will lead to logistical blockages and panic among the population.

He concludes that this situation was predictable and that Romania risks experiencing the chaos of the past, not due to a lack of fuel, but due to a lack of coherent policy.
