Bogdan Badea, the president of the Hidroelectrica Directorate, warned about the risks associated with capping energy prices, mentioning that returning to the free market generated instability in the past. Hidroelectrica is also adapting its business strategy to market conditions, focusing on investments in modernization and storage projects.

Although the company has prepared projects, bureaucracy delays their execution. Badea emphasized the importance of flexibility in the energy system, considering the increase in renewable energy capacity. Additionally, Hidroelectrica aims to provide energy at fair prices, continuing to invest in storage technologies, including batteries. Storage projects are considered economically viable, and the company is looking for experienced partners for their implementation.
