Heavy traffic on A1, A2 and DN1 after the Rusalii miniholiday. Authorities recommend alternative routes.

The INFOTRAFIC Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police announces that traffic values are high on the direction towards the Capital on the A1 Bucharest – Pitești Highway, A2, and DN1, due to the return of tourists after the mini-holiday of Rusalii.

Authorities recommend drivers to reconfigure their route towards the A0 Highway, accessible from A1 at kilometer 18, with exits in the Bragadiru, Jilava, and Popești-Leordeni areas. Police suggest that drivers check traffic conditions before departure and opt for alternative routes.

Additionally, it is important for drivers to avoid activities that may distract their attention, not to overtake vehicle columns, and not to use the emergency lane. The mini-holiday of Rusalii, celebrated on May 31, marked the beginning of the summer tourist season in Romania.
