Mihai Fifor, a social-democrat leader, expressed on Facebook his concern about the economic situation of Romania under the leadership of Ilie Bolojan, comparing him to the character Jupuitu from the novel "Moromeții". He emphasizes that the purchasing power of the average net salary has decreased by 5.1% in November 2025, marking the most severe decline in the last 25 years.

Fifor accuses the government of refusing to acknowledge the economic reality, mentioning inflation of over 10% and tax increases. His criticism focuses on the lack of economic recovery measures and the proposed budget cuts, warning that the PSD will not support new austerity measures without economic incentives. According to Fifor, Romania is in a precarious situation, without a budget and facing the threat of massive layoffs.
