The General Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, announced on Tuesday that the startup maneuvers of the CET Grozăvești installations have begun, following the explosion at CET Vest.
He emphasized the importance of informing Bucharest residents about the situation, even though CET Vest does not belong to the City Hall, but to Elcen. Currently, CET Vest is shut down, and Termoenergetica is supplying hot water partially in Sectors 1, 5, 6, and in Sector 2, the Ștefan cel Mare area. It is estimated that the hot water supply will return to normal parameters by midnight. The explosion was caused by an electrical fault in the 6 kV station of CET Vest, which led to damage to the electrical protection systems. The fire was extinguished by the intervention teams, and now the damages are being assessed and the necessary technical measures are being established. Additional information will be provided by Elcen and the Ministry of Economy.
