The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, announced that Liviu Dragnea will not participate in the party's Congress on November 7, mentioning that he has the right to decide who is invited. Grindeanu explained that Dragnea has participation restrictions, according to his statements. He also confirmed that Viorica Dăncilă will not be able to come, being away, but Victor Ponta will be present.


Grindeanu emphasized the importance of the return of former PSD leaders to build the party's future, mentioning that Marcel Ciolacu is the only former president currently a PSD member. The Congress will take place to elect the new leadership, Grindeanu being the only candidate for the position of president.
