Following the death of former President Ion Iliescu, the Romanian Government will hold an emergency meeting at 19:30 to discuss the organization of the state funeral and the establishment of a national day of mourning. The State Funeral Committee, made up of representatives from several ministries and institutions, met to coordinate the necessary details. The Government sent condolences to the family of Ion Iliescu, who passed away at the 'Prof. Dr. Agrippa Agrippa Ionescu' Emergency Hospital.
