The Government has approved emergency aid totaling 2,184,600 lei for 479 families and single people facing hardship. The support is intended for people affected by fires, landslides, dangerous weather events, accidents, serious health problems or other situations that may increase the risk of social exclusion.
The funds come from the budget of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity and will be distributed according to the severity of the beneficiaries’ circumstances, who are from several counties and the municipality of Bucharest.
A total of 732,000 lei has been allocated to 116 families and single people whose homes were destroyed or damaged by fires. Another eight families from Olt and Vâlcea counties, affected by landslides, will receive a total of 56,000 lei. A family from Argeș will receive 7,000 lei after its home was damaged by severe storms, while a family from Suceava will receive 10,000 lei following a serious road accident.
The largest amount, 1,379,600 lei, is intended for the 353 families and single people facing serious health problems. The list includes oncological, cardiovascular, degenerative, respiratory, genetic or mental illnesses, as well as cases requiring transplants, surgery, long-term treatment or medical rehabilitation.
